Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)

The Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) is an individualized plan that helps persons served facilitate their wellness and develop healthy self-regulation practices. This Foundational Tool is an evidence-based treatment method designed to improve quality of life.

For more than 20 years, Crestwood has embraced the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) to help persons served experience healing and transformation. As an evidence-based approach, WRAP helps individuals take control of their recovery, manage distressing emotions, and pursue their personal goals and dreams. By offering WRAP as a recovery service, we provide persons served with a flexible framework that fosters self-discovery and resilience.

WRAP is deeply embedded in Crestwood’s commitment to wellness, benefiting both those we serve and our dedicated staff. For persons served, WRAP offers essential tools for action planning and personal empowerment. For staff, it serves as a wellness resource, supporting employee well-being, preventing burnout, and strengthening team cohesion. Some of the wellness tools that we offer at our Crestwood campuses include massage therapy, jewelry beading, animal therapy, gardening, and so much more!

To ensure WRAP remains a cornerstone of our values, Crestwood has established a dedicated WRAP Committee to support its integration across all of our programs. By investing in WRAP, we are investing in a future where wellness and hope are accessible to all—creating lasting change for individuals, families, and communities alike.

Thanks to our amazing staff and leadership who prioritize recovery and wellness throughout our organization, as of December 2024, Crestwood is proud to announce we have been awarded the Center of Distinction Award by Advocates for Human Potential, Inc.

Organizational Wellness Landscape (OWL)

The Organizational Wellness Landscape (OWL) Project’s mission is to transform the wellness landscape of our organizational workforce because we recognize that our employees are the heart of everything we do. Their well-being directly impacts the quality of care and support we provide to those we serve. This Foundational Tool is designed to strengthen Crestwood’s workplace wellness and mental health services by implementing practices that gave WRAP its Evidence-Based Practice status. By fostering a culture of wellness, we empower our employees with the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive both personally and professionally.

At Crestwood, we believe that a healthy and supported workforce is essential to fulfilling our mission of wellness and recovery. The OWL Project is a direct reflection of this commitment, ensuring that every team member has access to meaningful wellness practices. By investing in our employees' well-being, we create a workplace where people feel valued, motivated, and equipped to provide the highest level of care.

As part of this project, Crestwood has developed a WRAP Committee to include:

  • Crestwood Lead Advanced Level Facilitator (ALF)

  • Assistant Crestwood Lead ALF

  • Home Office ALFs

  • Home Office Administrative Support Staff

The committee’s role is to oversee the OWL Project and champion wellness initiatives across all our programs. We firmly believe that when our workforce thrives, our entire organization thrives, reinforcing our dedication to a culture rooted in wellness, recovery, and continuous support.

Through WRAP Seminars (I, II, Refresher) held across our campuses and regionally, and by integrating WRAP as a wellness tool, we aim to support our employees in their professional and personal journeys. We are committed to ensuring that every staff member receives the full benefits of WRAP facilitation through sustained implementation, reinforcing our promise to prioritize wellness at every level of the organization.

Outcomes of the OWL Project:

  • Ongoing WRAP Trainings (Seminar I, II, III and Refresher)

  • Mentoring and Coaching for all WRAP Facilitators

  • Ongoing Mentoring for our Advanced Level WRAP Facilitators

  • Collection of Data and Outcomes

  • Ongoing Meetings to check in with campus staff
