overview
Crestwood Behavioral Health currently operates two facilities in Fresno, Crestwood Fresno Psychiatric Health Facility and Crestwood Fresno Bridge.
programs
The Crestwood Fresno Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) is located on the Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health campus in close proximity to many of the mental health support services in Fresno County. The Fresno PHF provides a spacious environment, with two large open living rooms, a welcoming room, visiting space, serenity room, dining area and a very large beautiful courtyard. The interior and exterior space supports recovery through open areas for sitting, visiting, working on puzzles, journals and games. The space allows for intimate and group sharing, as well as peer mentoring. The outdoor area supports outdoor games, basketball, pin pong and picnicking. This program is dedicated to restoring a sense of hope, self-empowerment and recovery in each of our consumers. The Fresno PHF is designed for consumers who require stabilization at a time of acute psychiatric crisis. We provide medication management, WRAP, welcoming rituals, behavioral interventions, psycho-therapy, psychosocial education and a thorough transition plan to enable a successful return to the community.
Crestwood’s Fresno Bridge Program is a licensed adult residential facility and a Department of Mental Health-certified social rehabilitation program. Consumers of the Bridge Program are preparing themselves to transition back into their communities and to independent living. In partnership with staff, they develop and implement an individualized “recovery-based” plan that focuses on wellness in personal and community living. The Bridge Program philosophy focuses on the principle that wellness and recovery are an ongoing process and consumers are active participants in this process. Since the program's inception, Fresno Bridge consumers have been effective in their recovery. Working together with the staff, many consumers take steps towards assimilating into the community whether it is by continuing their education, developing skills for independent living, learning about volunteer opportunities or furthering their skills for potential job opportunities. |
